Dr. Michael R. Sardone
Thomas Edison is credited as once saying, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease,” and there are no other words that can better describe Dr. Sardone’s practice.After years of post-graduate study, research and clinical application, Dr. Sardone founded the Do It Right Health & Fitness Program. Since, he has helped hundreds of overweight, unfit and chronically ill patients achieve good health through the integration of clinical nutrition, fitness and alternative medicine.
Subsequent to completing undergraduate biological sciences at USC and UCLA, Dr. Sardone realized his passion was in alternative and natural medicine. He pursued his calling by attending the Southern California University of Health Sciences receiving his doctorate in chiropractic medicine. After which, Dr. Sardone completed a two year integrative program at the International Chiro-Medical Institute in Milan, Italy, one of the first institutions to integrate allopathic and alternative medicine. He holds numerous post-graduate certifications and specializes in orthopedics, lifestyle and weight-loss management, functional and natural medicine. He has testified on numerous occasions as a medical expert and has lectured extensively regarding physical and alternative medicine standards of care and wellness.
Dr. Sardone is the author of The Naked Truth: Overweight, Overwhelmed and Confused (2009), and actively writes for online health magazines and blogs. He maintains an active practice in Del Mar, California.
Grace Sardone
Grace Sardone has many talents; however, she is not a professional model, body builder or athlete; rather she is a 50-year old working mother who transformed her physique naturally by applying the Do It Right Fitness Principles as taught in The Naked Truth: Overweight, Overwhelmed and Confused. She is a licensed cosmetologist and holds certifications in fitness training and culinary arts, and over the years Grace has incorporated her expertise in beauty, fitness and cuisine in helping individuals better manage their lifestyle challenges. Currently, she teaches Dr. Sardone’s patients proper exercise form, technique and execution, while emphasizing proper body mechanics, posture and breathing thereby minimizing exercise induced injuries while maximizing progress. She is married to Dr. Sardone and together they have three children all residing in California. Grace is featured on the cover and inside exercise illustrations in Dr. Sardone’s book.
Lauren Kennedy
Lauren Kennedy is an integral part of Dr. Sardone’s practice. As a certified chef, and avid fitness and nutrition enthusiast, Lauren provides either one-on-one or group cooking lessons stressing the importance of dietary balance and quality ingredients. She follows specific nutritional guidelines determined by Dr. Sardone in order to help his patients better understand how to prepare everyday meals, snacks, baked goods and deserts in an easy, convenient and healthful manner. Also, she teaches his patients how to stock their pantries, cupboards and refrigerators with all the essential foods and ingredients necessary to achieve optimum health. Lauren obtained her undergraduate degree in journalism and broadcasting from San Francisco State University and her culinary arts degree from the Professional Culinary Institute.
